Paano Ko Sasabihin?

I found a link to a movie that I haven't heard of while I was browsing the net checking for some updates on Kim Chiu. As you may not know, Kim is my favorite celebrity; the only celebrity that I'm very fond of. Anyway, this post is not about her. It's about that movie that captivated my very senses; yes, my emotional senses.

Ehryl (Erich Gonzales) is a television writer who is always on the lookout eyeing her crush, Mike (Enchong Dee), on the metro train. As a regular train commuter, it is not unknown to her that he is deaf-mute based from keen observations. A dialogue kicked off when Mike offered his seat to Ehryl and she thanked him in sign language. Mike, realizing she's deaf-mute introduced himself also in sign language and the two started their friendship.

Here's the catch. Ehryl doesn't know how to tell Mike that she is not deaf-mute, she knows the language since her brother is a deaf-mute. And now she feels guilt for deceiving him. But unknown to her, Mike has secrets too.

The movie is billed as "a love story that goes beyond the need for words". A kind of love story that is unusual to see on the silverscreen. It is definitely worth watching. :D

Here's the trailer...

Final Fantasy XIII

I got the chance to play this most coveted game on PS3 two days ago and boy it is so addicting! I started playing around 9 pm and I finished at 3 in the morning. The knowledge of having classes the next day is the only force that stopped me from playing. (Darn that three-hour class!)

Anyhow, the game's protagonists are Lightning, Snow, Sazh, Vanille and Hope. The real game started when the five were cursed by the fal'Cie to become l'Cies and the place turned into crystals. Their quest (I guess) is to find their Focuses and fullfill it, and also to protect the city of Cocoon.

What I like about the game is the Paradigm Shift in which a player can shift modes whether the characters attack independently or as a team; it is highly effective if there's right timing. One thing I don't like about the game is the Battle System. In order to attack in a fight, a player chooses sets of commands as the characters execute them to the enemies, it's like playing Pokémon on GameBoy. I was expecting more of an action-type fight just like in Tekken wherein the players are in full control of the characters.

Looking at the visuals and stuffs, the graphics are in striking details, players can even see the slightest physical feature of the characters and the places plus, the animation on fights is vigorous. The colors are very rich and vivid. My advice, play the game in HD TVs to have a complete gaming experience! Have fun playing! :D

Französisch für Anfänger

I've been recently hooked at foreign movies, non-English movies in particular. As you may know, there are lots of great movies out there, though they lack a greater audience mainly 'cause of the American and British's dominance in the film industry.

Anyway, I looked up at our entertainment room's DVD collection and one movie caught my attention, it is titled Französisch für Anfänger, literally French for Beginners. The movie tells the story of Henrik, a German high school boy who joined the student exchange program in France just so he could impress and get a chance to the girl of his dreams, Valerie. The unexpected trip turned out to be an unforgettable one owing to the cross-country trips, crazy soirée, the peculiar host family and of course Henrik's trouble with the French language and the French people.

It's a kind of movie that will surely give you some good laughs, especially when you're not in a good mood because of the brain-twisting quiz in Advanced Math you had just taken hours ago. Grabe talaga ung quiz! Hahaha. :D

(dedos cruzaron X)

I feel so stupid right now. Some college batchmates make fun of me because they thought I’m into someone so stupid and superficial. Honestly it was true at first but not anymore. What was I thinking?! Move Gerald!

I was thinking more on the upcoming summer vacation instead of my internship and my summer classes. But anyway, I asked my mom for our family to spend the Holy Week in Bangkok and she approved of it. Yey! I also want a short trip to Quezon.

I still want a DSLR camera. A Canon 1000D is what I desire. I wish my mom buys me one! (fingers crossed X)
